Physical Education @Immanuel

A physical education class at ILS aims to:

  • Meet the needs of all students;

  • Keep students active for most of physical education class time;

  • Teach self-management

  • Emphasize knowledge and skills for a lifetime of physical activity; and

  • Is a fun and enjoyable experience for all students!

Skills:

Physical education classes provide Immanuel students with a standards-based program designed to develop motor skills, knowledge and behaviors for active living, and physical fitness.

Character: 

At Immanuel, we believe that the athletic arena is just another arena where students learn to exhibit Christ-like character.  Time-honored qualities of hard work, commitment, cooperation, and fair play are natural benefits to our program. 

TIPS TO STAY HEALTHY!

This month adapted from SHAPE America:

  • Wash your hands- for 20 seconds 

  • Get at least 9 hours of sleep

  • Be active for 1 hour/day (60 minutes)

  • Limit screen time - 1 hour/day

  • Drink lots of water - 8 cups each day

  • Keep your hand away from your
    T-Zone (eyes, nose & mouth)

  • Eat seasonal Fruits and Vegetables
